Just when it seemed that we might be thawing out a bit, the Met Office has issued the following severe weather warnings for tonight and tomorrow in West Sussex:

Heavy Snow:

Outbreaks of snow will continue through the rest of Monday evening and into Tuesday morning giving additional accumulations of 2 to 5 cm quite widely and perhaps as much as 10 to 15 cm over higher ground. Locations towards and along the south coast are likely to see a mixture of rain and sleet.

Widespread Icy Roads:

There is a continuing risk of widespread ice on untreated surfaces.

Please take extra care if you do need to make a journey, and if you can get out, please remeber to check on elderly relatives and neighbours who can be particularly vulnerable in these bitter temperatures.
