Sussex police have successfully uncovered around quarter of

a million pounds worth of cocaine in a major drug bust in Bracklesham.

The operation took place on Friday (1st April) when

detectives from Sussex police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit arrested six

men over the course of the day. The first three were found in two cars parked

in the car park of the Cottesmore Gold and Country Club, Buchan Hill at

12:30pm. The detectives also seized a package from one of the cars which was

later identified as cocaine as well as finding a large amount of cash in the

other car.

The detectives then proceeded to a business unit at nearby

White Herons Farm, Colgate where they discovered equipment which is used for

cutting and preparing cocaine for distribution and they arrested three more men

here.

The six men have been identified as Barry Harlow, 64; Lee

Burton-Asante. 43; Albert Mouhtiseb, 27; Darren Henwood, 36; Andrew Billings,

31 and Charles Smith, 40. The former three were arrested at the golf club and

the latter three from the farm businesses unit. Excluding Mouhtiseb (Surrey),

all of the men live within West Sussex and Smith lives in Bracklesham.

I was really shocked when I read this but my friend has since told me that drugs is a bit of an issue in the Bracklesham area. I totally didn't realise that.
