Chichester District Council dog wardens have seen almost a doubling of the number of stray dogs that have been picked up in one year. The council is responsible for the collection of stray dogs and a policy is in place that if a dog isn't collected by its owner after one week, the council will seek to give the animal a new home. As of April this year, visitors to Chichester City will have to pay for parking on a Sunday from 10am to 5pm. The Full Council has officially agreed what Chichester has been fearing after it was asked to review the decision it made last September.
