The previous review calls Weald and Downland a "great place to take your kids in the summer" and I simply want to say that it is a great place to take your kids all year round! Provided it's open anyway!

ReportAbsolutely great place to take your kids over the summer! I went today with 3 children, and there was so much on offer for them to do. Every wednesday through the summer holidays they have arts and crafts days. Some ask for a small additional charge, but most are free and give kids the chance to try out things such as candle making, lino printing, knitting, jam making, victorian games, dressing up in victorian clothes etc - they can even book to go in and experience a victorian school lesson. As I say there is so much to do, for children of all ages all weathers (most of the activties are set up inside). Older children will also enjoy looking inside the different victorian style houses and learning a bit of history. An annual pass for the family is only about £59, so go twice in a year and you have already made that worth the money - I would totally recommend it, even on days when arts and crafts aren't available, its a great place to go for a picnic, feed the ducks and wander around and only a few miles outside Chi! Your children will love it! My only recommendation would be to arrive by 10.30am on craft days as it gets very busy when they begin at 11am...
