Police are still trying to trace a suspect after a man was kidnapped in Chichester in the early hours of Sunday 8 January.
The offence occured outside a property in Osborne Crescetn at around 3am on Sunday where the 27 year old victim was assualted and taken. He was taken to hospital later that day at about 2pm after he was found in Chichester with no life threatening injuries but he did have some cracked ribs and bruising.
Because of the type of incident that occured, it was necessary for Firearms officers to be deployed at the scene as a precaution. Despite this though, Police are stressing that the group of people involved are all known to one another and there is no danger to the public.
They want to speak to a 24 year old local man about the incident after they have already arrested a 20 year old man and a 17 year old girl on suspicion of kidnapping but they were both later released on bail until 21 February.
Anyone with information or may have witnessed what happened is asked to come forward and contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Cyclone or alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
