This really seems like a good opportunity for those who need or just want to improve their swimming. The sessions will be twice a week on a Wednesday from 12.30 to 13.30 and on a Thursday from 18.00 to 19.00 and you just pay for the swim and the rest is free. By 'the rest' I mean the presence of a qualified instructor on hand to offer any coaching advice or guidance. There is also no need to book but you can just drop in and on top of all that, there will also be printed sessions made available for you to follow which will range from 'improver' to 'advanced'.
Because the sessions are done through Swimfit, users will also have access to a number of features on the Swimfit website which include:
swimming technique videos;
swim challenges;a calorie cruncher;
'ask an expert';
Swimfit blogs;
nutrition and training advice;
Swimfitter's dictionary; and
online facility to log your achievements.
Cllr Eileen Lintill, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Wellbeing at Chichester District Council extends an invitation to you: "What are you waiting for? Make a splash and we'll have you gliding through the water - splash fee - in no time!"
Clearly and unsurprisingly Eileen Lintill is behind the new scheme and all it stands for but what do you think? Feel free to comment and remember you can simply use your Twitter or Facebook account details to log in!
