Live to shop another day

I was glad to see I was far from alone today in Chichester city centre -- there were thousands of us milling around looking for Christmas presents. My wife spent an hour in Clarks (on East Street) trying on boots (nice, flat brown - £79) and I grew a bit bored so nearly ended up buying slippers.

In the end neither of us bought anything today but we will both be back - on a quieter day, to try on again the shoes/slippers we were fond of and probably buy.

The shop assistants were incredibly nice and helpful. Really surprisingly good, especially as the shop was so busy. All credit to them.
