Chichester city centre has a wondeful variety of great shops and as we begin our Christmas shopping, I thought I would provide a list of just some of what East Street offers us.

We shall start with David Messam located half way down (or up) East Street. This is a wonderful little local shop supplying all your DIY supplies. If you want to get some last minute DIY done before Christmas then why not bless your local people by going to David Messam? They are sure to have whatever you need and they are really honest in there as they assist you in purchasing precisely what you need!

On a different note (pardon the pun), you can get all the music you need down the road from David Messam at HMV. If you have ever been into HMV you will know of the impressive selection of music they have, from operas to rock 'n'roll and from the 1950s to present. It's not only music either, they also sell a wide range of DVDs, Blue-Rays, computer games, a whole bunch of gadgets and even a selection of books.

Another retail giant that can be found on East Street is Marks & Spencer. Now little need be said of such a place as Marks & Spencer as we all know of the top quality products that can be found there. The East Street store has recently undergone some impressive rennovations as they increased the quantity of food and drink available downstairs and got a brand new look to their cafe upstairs.

We all know if you are going to hit the shops then a drinks break is essential half way through so here is one option half way through this article. Caffe Nero is brilliantly situated in East Street and has a lovely atmosphere for a nice relaxing coffee. They also have a great selection of sandwiches and paninis and a number of sweet options also available.

There is a great Superdrug store in East Street for all your cosmetic needs. They already have some Christmas offers in store as they lead the way for the Christmas shopping. They currently have a 3 for 2 offer on across the store including items for both him and her from smellies to electricals which could save you some decent dosh in your Christmas shopping!

One place I know is very popular along East Street is New Look right at the far end of the street. New Look has a great selection in the latest fashion for both men and women and some their prices are permanently mouth wateringly low. I wouldn't necessarily recommend trying your Christmas shopping in there because you will probably just spend ages in there and then only come out having bought yourself a new wardrobe! - I personnaly find it very difficult to think of other people in somewhere like New Look!

And lastly but certainly not leastly, the East Street Mothercare store is a great option for all you mothers (and fathers) of young children. They will always have some great deals on at this time of year and whether it be something for the baby you are looking for or something for you to help you look after the baby, they will surely have whatever you need!

I cannot stress enough how short a list this is of all that Chichester's East Street has to offer! You will have to get down there to see the abundance of what else the street offers you.
